Kelly Price Says 'Sunday Best' Judges Cheated On Their Spouses

Publish date: 2024-09-21

Kelly Price has opened up about her experiences interacting and touring with various gospel artists and preachers, calling some of them “disgusting and despicable” for how they carry themselves behind the scenes. She also claimed that her fellow Sunday Best judges committed adultery and were even “messing with kids.”

The R&B diva exploded with the claims after being tagged by an Instagram follower who wrote, “I was going to say, is this ‘Sunday Best’ judge, gospel singing Kelly Price??? Phewwww! Lord deliver.”

“Yes Lord, deliver us from pastor hoes and pedophiles”, she responded, according to a screenshot obtained by TGJ. “The nerve you have. I was the only artist/judge on Sunday Best that wasn’t f**kin’ someone else’s spouse, fornicating, or messing with kids and boys but you have smoke for me? FOH you ignorant, church going brain dead a**hole.”

BET reality competition series Sunday Best judges over its 2009-2020 tenure have included Mary Mary’s Erica and Tina Campbell, Bebe & Cece Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, Jonathan McReynolds, Kierra Sheard and others. The show was hosted by Kirk Franklin.

What followed was Price calling out “disgusting and despicable” members of the gospel community, including preachers who’ve attempted to sleep with her.

“I’m one of the very few artists who have been able to record and tour with both gospel and R&B artists, and the lives that are lived by the people that you worship are despicable and disgusting,” Price said in an Instagram Live video. “I saw the things that happened on the road with a lot of these artists. Doing shows with these artists, all kinds of stuff. My heart was broken because there was still a part of me that believed that holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. That’s biblical also.”

After clarifying that she’s an “R&B singer who did a gospel album,” she added that well-known pastors hit on her, sharing, “Some of your favorite preachers all over your timeline and in your YouTube right now, that if they could have gotten me in my bed or in their bed, they would have. But I don’t play those games. F**k a man. I Fear God.”

While some may demand to know the names of who exactly did what, the songstress knows her story has value and will hold out for the right “price.”

“You won’t get it for free. Refuse to give that for free,” she said of naming names.
