Publish date: 2024-05-27

Sad news surfaced early Friday afternoon (Apr. 8) when prominent lifestyle expert, Daisy Lewellyn, passed away at the age of 36 after a battle with cancer, Essence reports.

The California native was affectionately known as the “Queen of Effortless Chic” for her easy-going style ensembles and beauty tips for the everyday working woman. Lewellyn also starred in Bravo’s hit television show, Blood, Sweat and Heels, where she shared her battle with the disease.

She was diagnosed with bile duct cancer at the age of 34 after her makeup artist noticed her eyes had a green tint. In an interview with Madame Noir, Lewellyn spoke on her diagnosis, and was concerned for her loved ones.

“I realized that it was hard for my family and friends,” she said. “I’m not afraid to go to heaven, but I would like to stay on Earth if I can. If it’s my time to go, then I can say that I had a great life.”

Lewellyn penned the best-selling book, “Never Pay Retail Again: Shop Smart, Spend Less, & Look Your Best Ever,” and was a walking fashion encyclopedia given her extensive knowledge of the business.

Her Blood, Sweat and Heels co-stars Melyssa Ford and Demetria Lucas D’Oyley also spoke highly of Lewellyn’s legacy.

Bravo also released a statement to PEOPLE on Lewellyn’s passing.

“We are devastated to learn that Daisy Lewellyn from Bravo’s Blood, Sweat & Heels has passed away this morning after a battle with a rare form of cancer. Daisy passed on in peace and filled with joy, surrounded by her family and friends. We are all saddened to lose this wonderful woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy is expressed.”

VIBE sends our condolences to Daisy Lewellyn’s family and friends.
