NXT Brings Back Spin The Wheel, Make A Deal For Halloween Havoc

Publish date: 2024-09-01

NXT is bringing back an old Halloween Havoc classic for the special edition episode on October 28th.

On last night’s episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae will have yet another opportunity to win the NXT North American and Women’s Championships respectively, but there will be a little twist.

Shotzi Blackheart, the host of NXT Halloween Havoc on October 28, revealed that the stipulations for their Championship matches will be decided by the spin of a wheel as NXT brings back the “Spin The Wheel, Make A Deal” concept used in the early 90s on WCW Halloween Havoc presentations. The concept was also used on a few episodes of Monday Night RAW in Las Vegas, Nevada for episodes that would be given the subtitle “RAW Roulette.” The last RAW Roulette was held in 2010.

On the digital wheel, which was shown behind Shotzi Blackheart after she made her announcement, many stipulations that have never been seen before or have not been seen in a long time were shown on the wheel, such as a “Chamber of Horrors Match.” This is a callback to the 1991 Halloween Havoc, which saw two teams fight inside of the cage until somebody was shocked in the electric chair. Also on the wheel for potential stipulations is a “Devil’s Playground Match,” which is a match that has never been seen although that used to be the description given to Hell in a Cell.

.@CandiceLeRae & @JohnnyGargano ???? receive #WWENXT championship opportunities at #HalloweenHavoc, but the stakes are going to be a little different this time around.
